KTC has/is a great site and has helped is continues to help me with my battle to beet the can.
The rare-bone-expense is what finall got me. Kill the can or burn the house??? And for a short while, didn’t quite know who was going to win. The decision has been made and 5 days earlier, April 18/18. No Chew went through!!
I hope this time will be different I have quit many times before. I have been on-and-off for the last thirty years and this time want to be looking at off in thirty years!!
I have an awesome extended family and we get together yearly for hunting/fishing/ice-fishing and these occasions have always had a few Beers too. I am yet to get through without a ‘what the hell 1-won’t-hurt’. I have been off beer-with-cheer for a year and am using alcohol-free varieties now and luv them and also think this will be my silver bullet to a ‘NO-THANKS’ as it kills my resolve completely.
Dipping to me was a personal thing ,not public until this January. I have also gone through significant personal trama though these past 10+yrs. In 2006 I was diagnosed and successfully treated for AML-Leukemia. This was not completely without complications treatment was rough and its success did mark me in ways I am still dealing with, I do not drive a road vehicle and do not have a memory that works as it did. I am retired on disability pension from my dream job, stuck at home and only move around community on bikes/sleds/boats/boots.
In 2009 my wife of 20yrs didn’t like having to do anything around the house, as I took care of all cooking/cleaning/yard work and repairs so she left and moved too city where these needs would be non-exhisting.
But no Chew now…..
I am of already of better attitude on the past and am looking forward to better feeling future having more ‘energy/mind/resources’ to work with.
I will return to ‘KTC’ annually to update readers and in 10yrs post better stories.
Cheers to the future……!!
Mike
