  1. Day 3. Today I quit with you all for good this time!

  2. Day 4. After reading more on this site, figured I should introduce myself. Got my first chew from my grandpa about 8 years old – it was terrible and hot. Didn’t really pick up the habit until 12. Mom used to find it and put in black pepper and cayenne so I stopped. Was on and off with it and cigarettes through the years, finally stopped smoking at 28 but only with the help of chew. At 35 I have quit for good. Saw my 88 year old grandpa over the weekend and told myself it started with him and will end with him as well – so that was it. Today, day 4, is so much better than the first 3 but I would love to still put in a fatty. I bought a tin on the first day, but couldn’t bring myself to open it. Can’t stand throwing it away either. Went to the store last night for a Powerball ticket and found it to be a really strange feeling not needing the extra $5 for chew. It’s weird but nice being without it.

    • I’d advise dumping that unopened can as soon as possible. Sometimes the only reason you make it a day without dip is due to it not being easily accessible.

      • My boss, who also chews, thinks I’m nuts too…but it doesn’t phase me. I’ve been keeping it around more just to taunt him and so we can have a giggle.
