Roll Call For Wednesday January 3rd, 2018

Finish LineDo you feel like you’re being controlled by the little round can in your back pocket? Do you feel like you’ve lost control? Have you finally had enough with the can of Kodiak, Skoal or Copenhagen that has been a part of your life for longer than you can remember?

If you’re quitting dip and you’ve decided to quit chewing tobacco or some other form of smokeless tobacco we can help. Your decision to take back your freedom from spit tobacco is one of the best you will ever make. We’ll never tell you it will be easy, but we can promise you it will be worth it.

KillTheCan.org helps people quit dipping by providing support for quitters. That support is provided by men and women who know what you’re going through because we’ve all been right where you are. Adding a support group to your quit will greatly increase your chances of success. With over 31,000 registered members, our forums located at forum.killthecan.org offer the best quit dipping support group available today – for FREE! It is the best place on the web to get your questions answered from people who’ve been there before.

Roll call is our DAILY promise that we will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, dip, chew, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). That’s right… just because our site is called Kill the CAN doesn’t mean we won’t help smokers too. You’re more than welcome to join us.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, your days quit and your quit group.

  1. Day 3! Is the NRT really frowned upon? I’ve been destroying nicorette like a MoFo…

    • Hey Mike – the reason we subscribe to the cold turkey method of cessation is because that Nicorette you’re using is continuing to feed your body what it’s craving… nicotine. That’s why these products “work” to “take the edge off”…. they give you what you’re withdrawing from. Can they work and can people be successful with them? Certainly. But we’ve seen more often than not that people use them either as a crutch for FAR too long or as a gateway back to their addiction.
