Roll Call For Friday July 31st, 2015

KillTheCan Roll Call YellowKillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit chewing tobacco. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t truly be free from your addiction. If you’re looking to quit smokeless, we can help. We will never tell you it’s easy. Quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best quit dipping support system available is the KillTheCan.org support forum.

The most important thing we do on the forums is Roll Call. It is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. And for that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”.  We quit for today and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  2. Day 242. You go Kenny. Love golf, don’t get to play enough. Last time I played I rubbed. Last fall! I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.

  3. 185. Kenny, that is tough isn’t it! nice this is to be this far into your quit days to not be fooled by the allure.

i actually have gone several days in the past month without thinking about chew. didn’t even realize that until this week. that is pretty cool. those first 100 days it was every day. now its just when i see someone else or get an email form cope or skoal. i did like those freebies and coupons. cope sent some neat gadgets too. what a marketing effort. big tobacco has everything stacked against them in terms of restrictions, excise taxes and health data— yet they continue to flourish. shows how addicting the nic is.

have a good quitting day everyone
