KTC Seatbelt

Has quitting dip been impossible for you in the past? Are you looking to quit dipping after a lifetime of struggling with multiple starts and stops? Do you feel like you have no control over your addiction to smokeless tobacco? Do you feel powerless over the can of Kodiak, Copenhagen or Skoal in your back pocket?

KillTheCan.org is here to help you succeed where you’ve failed in the past. It will not be easy – we know that. How do we know? Because first and foremost, we are quitters just like you. We will never lie to you and tell you it’s easy to quit dipping. We are addicts and we have been right where you are. We used Kodiak, Skoal, Copenhagen and Redman for years – sometimes decades. We understand that the idea of quitting dip is similar to never seeing your best friend again. We get it.

The good news is there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Quitting smokeless tobacco IS possible. Your decision to take back your freedom from spit tobacco is one of the best you will ever make. And it WILL be worth it in the end.

At KillTheCan.org we do something called “posting roll”. Roll call is our DAILY promise that we will not use nicotine in any form for that day. Just one day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, dip, chew, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT). Just because our site is called Kill the CAN doesn’t mean we won’t help smokers and vapers as well. After all… if you’re smoking cigarettes or using a vape pen you’re using nicotine. You’re more than welcome to join us.

Special shout out to VAPE users – we’re here for you. Vaping is becoming a national epidemic. If you feel like you can’t stop reach out – we’re here to help.

KillTheCan.org helps people who are quitting by providing support from men and women who know what you’re going through because we’ve all been through it. Adding this type of support group to your quit will GREATLY increase your chances of success. Our forums are located at ktcforum.org. They are completely free to join and offer the best quit dipping support group available! Get your questions answered from people who’ve been there before and have successfully quit chewing tobacco.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, your days quit and your quit group.

Get involved. OWN your quit. You can do it and you’re not alone. What are you waiting for?

  1. 62 days in today. most days I don’t think about it at all. Friday afternoons looking forward to the weekend and work starts to slow down that when those thoughts start to creep in. Back when we were all allowed in public this would be one of those times I would sneak away from my desk and go for a little walk to just get a little bit of a taste in before wrapping up the week and everyone knows the Friday afterwork ride home was the best dip of the week. That being said everyone should stay strong even for just being here today quit or relapse or just thinking about it your better for having been here.

  2. Hey Everyone Frank here 62 days into the battle I would say 95% of the time I am totally fine its when I have nothing going on that the cravings sneak in. Friday afternoons are the worst. Looking forward to the upcoming weekend and work tends to slow down and this would be one of those times I would really enjoy a nice horseshoe across my bottom lip. Also feeling slightly strange about my quit like I didn’t get the opportunity to choose it but rather it chose me given that my state outlawed flavored tobacco entirely. but what can I do I guess just keep pushing ahead to the next 62
