KillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit smokeless tobacco. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t really start down the road to freedom. If you’re looking to quit dipping, we can help. We will never tell you it’s easy. Quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best support system available today for someone looking to quit chewing is the KillTheCan.org support forum.
One of the main reasons for our growth and success is Roll Call. It is the most important thing we do. Roll Call is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. And for that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”. We quit for today and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.
Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

Day 119. Great intro Craig, welcome aboard the Quit Express.
Day 404
Day 193. After Day 90 it got easier. Around day 180 it became hard again. The battle continues…
Fight it bro. Fight it.
Day 115..
Day 29
Day 225, still nicotine free! I’m afraid if i ever start chewing again i would never quit until it is too late. For my wife, my daughters and myself i will never use nicotine again!!
Good job Craig. It is all about breaking down barriers. Do things you associated w/ dipping & do them tobacco free. The more of those associations you breakdown the more free you become. My golden rule, no matter how many days you are quit, it only takes one to put you back into addiction Hell.
day 145
Day 10 for me.
The only reason i’m posting this is because I’ve read things others wrote that I could relate to. Maybe someone else can relate to me…maybe it can help.
I know this is a roll thread and maybe not the place for this, but I’m a shirt and tie redneck. I have an office job and can talk the business talk. Be proper and speak without using double negatives…..but when I leave work,I take off my fucking yuppie clothes, Throw a fat dip in the lip and I was off to the woods or the lake. I fish non stop and in non hunting seasons I sit in a tree bow hunting. My lifestyle is so repetitive and DIP was a part of it for so long.
I went to college, I dipped like a MOFO and I felt i needed it. Sat in class, studied, dip non stop. Graduated and figured I’d quit…….15 years later and still dipping.
Every time in the boat i had a dip. Sat in the tree hunting, I had a dip after dip after dip….. It WAS MY LIFE. That being said, I’ve gone to the lake 4 times since I quit dipping. I’ve caught limits of bluegills one day and got several limits of walleye’s. You know what was CRAZY about it???? I did it w out a dip and pounding on fish felt the same as it did with a dip in!!!! Fuck, and this is coming from a guy that would get out on the lake or climb up a tree …..then realize I forgot my DIP, i’d literally go back to my truck and get it. Efn SAD!!!!!!
So if I can do this shit, anyone can!! IF there are any other rednecks out there that are similar to me, catching and killing stuff can be done without a dip. I didn’t think it was possible, but if I can do it, it’s possible.
I know I’m only 10 days removed, but this FEELS SO FRIGGEN GOOD. I’m in control now bitches.
Wish you the best. Keep up the good work. Lean on us and this site if needed.
haha, i hear you loud and clear. hang in there if you are already at 10 days, no reason to cave. I took down two long beards this spring, nicotine free. that was my first non nicotine hunting experience since in over 20 years. i always though “oh man, i can’t hunt, fish, etc without cope, etc.” what a bunch of crap. i am looking forward to this fall when i don’t have to keep pulling up my facemask to spit or not use a duck call for a while cause i have a dip in.
KCROY – been there bro, one reason I didn’t wear a face mask. Face paint! Geez, it’s crazy when you sit down and think how you “planned” around chew.
Day 146 desire dedication determination
Hey, Dip free in NC, you got it! The quit, the reason, the idea, the desire, the NEED, you have it brother!
Day 95 gonna be another hot day, so hot that it is one of those days that unless you just got done pounding a beverage, a dip really didn’t taste that good or last that long. Yet we all dutyfully put one in after another, glad I’m done with that.
Day 94
Day 225: Keep fighting and stay strong! I quit with you today!
Day 205. I loved the comments from yesterday. That’s what we need. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.
