Roll Call For Tuesday June 2nd, 2015

KillTheCan Roll CallKillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit dipping. But we don’t stop there. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t truly start your recovery. If you’re looking to quit dipping, we can help. It’s difficult. We’ll never tell you otherwise.  In fact, quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best support system available today for someone looking to quit dipping is the KillTheCan.org online forum.

One of the main reasons for our continued growth and success is Roll call. Forget that… it is THE most important thing we do. The concept behind roll call at KTC is simple.  It is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day and that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”.  We quit for today.  We’ll worry about tomorrow when we get there… together.

Please use this blog post to post your daily promise. Simply leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  1. 1st dental checkup. All went well.

  2. In terms of drinking, I used to put beer and dipping together like salt and pepper. For me, that was the hardest part, I always had a big fattie of Apple Skoal in my lip while I was pounding beers. ALWAYS. I’ve actually chilled on the beer because of that. But I do have SMC for those beer drinking times now. I tried going without anything, but that sucked OUTLOUD.

  3. Day 96, my 1st dental checkup since my quit, all went well. Keep on keepin’ on, close to triple digits in my quit.

  4. Day 150, so glad I quit

  5. Day 5 today. I have chewed lots of gum and bitten lips and cheek lots. I have been a can a day for 25 years. I have quit in the past, but always seem to star again.

  6. Iwasbornin1971.

Day 29 off of chew and Day 2 off of alcohol….for me, the link is deadly. Strike that – WAS Deadly!!!

    • yeah that is true. without chew i was drinking twice as much because i didn’t have the “spacer” dip provided.

29 days is great keep it up!

      • Loved the term “Spacer Dip” ! I’ve had the same problems. We dipped, we probably drank. I found a way to prod myself. I started 4+ months into my quit. I won’t give up my beer, love it to much, but I pay myself. 5 dollars a day for not rubbing, and if I don’t have a beer I pay myself 10 dollars. I have 150 for vacation. That’s all BAD money. MAY be alcohol, but never Skoal again .

  7. day 125. way to go andy, you are past the hardest part, now it’s mind games.

  8. Day 99. I promise to quit.

  9. Day 203: Stay strong and keep at it! It gets easier.

  10. Day 183. Stay quit my friends. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.
