Quitting dip is difficult. In fact, it may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best support system available today for someone looking to quit dipping is the KillTheCan.org online forum.
Roll call is the most important thing we do at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued success. Roll call at KTC is simple. It is your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the “forever”. We quit for today. We’ll worry about tomorrow when we get there. Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.
To post roll, simply leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.
NOTE: Your comment may be moderated. Don’t worry… you didn’t get bumped but it may take a while to show up.
Day 157 and I remain committed to my quit. Vegas is not a friendly place for quitters, thank god I go home tomorrow.
I ran into a buddy I hadn’t seen in awhile last week. We got caught up on some stuff & I noticed he had a big ole dip in. I told him I had quit & he was surprised & asked how I did it. He was legitimitely surprised I had quit & we spoke for awhile about it. I was straight up & told him it sucks, badly, @ times. I still crave, badly, @times. We both have had mouth scares over the yrs but so far we are both OK. I told him my latest scare drove me to quit. He has quit in the past like I have only to return to dipping during moments of weakeness or boredom. Both myself and BB are in the Public Safety business, so moments of boredom are cured with a big ole dip. I credited your site with helping me & I told him coming here & reading the comments helps even though I don’t post everyday. I hit him up on FB with the site & I hope he checks it out.
Watching MLB, craving some Apple Skoal right now, won’t do it though. Over 2 months into the quit, not gonna weaken now.
