Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Even though we are called “KillTheCan” we realize that our true enemy is the drug itself: NICOTINE. Nicotine is an incredibly addictive drug and because of that quitting dip may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system like the KillTheCan.org online forum to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. Our forums are the biggest and best quit dipping support system available today. And best of all, they’re FREE!
Roll call is the cornerstone of our activities at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued growth and success. Roll call is quite simply your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We quit one day at a time and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.
Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.
To post roll, simply leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

DAY 100!!!! And it coicides with St. Pattys Day of all holidays which I love!! Sorry for the late past fellas, I have been travling all day long finally in hotel room in Miami and out of my meetings so just finding time to sit and get my thoughts into words a bit. Ken, Rob, Peter, Erik, Corey and a few others that we lost touch with, you guys really helped my quit and I thank you for that! For all the new folks that are posting I support you and I will hold you accountable and just keep going day by day, it will get easier with time. You know, we are all lucky to be here today given what we have done to our bodies for so long and yet God has given us the strength to put the tin down and walk away from it for good. It has not been easy, and becuase of the number of years I have done it, I am in the process of re-wiring myself to move through every day life without it. So I raise my glass of Guiness and and celebrate my quit with all of you today!! Cheers!!
Congrats to you Eric B. 100 was something we all pushed for. You had a rough go of it to begin with. But you pulled through. Remember, and I know you do, its just a number. Now let’s get your son on that parh.
Amen to that Rob!! I told my son that I would pay for skydiving if he quit for 100 days, that’s a pretty sweet offer to a 21 y/o. No way am I jumping out of a perfectly good plane!
Congrats man, good for you!
Thanks Issac!
day 50. you guys under 30 days– aikman, greg and brent stay strong. rob makes a good point, the craves are always there. they fact you’ve gone a couple weeks without shows you can do it. each day i mark off surprises the hell outta me. i’ve noticed i am not as tired during the afternoons as often. which is funny cause i thought nic was a stimulant. also my blood pressure dropped 20 points top and bottom number. i see the dentist this friday so curious if i have any cavities. i’ve noticed in the past when i went from dip to cigs i would get a cavity, assume it was from not spitting after every meal.
thanks kcroy. what an adventure.
Day 16..
Day 104…went to the dentist today. First time in years that I haven’t hated going. My dentist was so happy that I quit. Congrats to Eric B!

One day at a time. It really works. Don’t worry about tomorrow or the next day. You can quit today!
I’m right there with you! I am at day 2 also. We will do this!
One day, one minute, even one second at a time, after the nicotine is out, all you have do is fight the urges. THEY’RE ALL MENTAL. Fight them back, and use this site.
