Even though we are called “KillTheCan” we realize that our true enemy is the drug itself: NICOTINE. Nicotine is an incredibly addictive drug and because of that quitting dip may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system like the KillTheCan.org online forum to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. Our forums are the biggest and best quit dipping support system available today. And best of all, they’re FREE!
Roll call is the cornerstone of our activities at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued growth and success. Roll call is quite simply your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We quit one day at a time and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.
Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

Today is Day 4 for me and the weekend is on the horizon so wish me luck!
No “luck” necessary. It’s got nothing to do with a successful quit – you CAN and WILL do this!!!
I have tried many things to quit, taking nicotine gum, seeds, and medication. Medication worked for some time, but started to have major mood swings and I got nasty with family.
I am happy to say that I am on day 2 of quitting cold turkey. I am having my first child, a daughter this July, and do not want her to see her father being a bad role model. Also a new policy at work is prohibiting tobacco of any kind, and is giving tobacco and drug tests if suspected.
Great motivation!
Well done Steve – congrats! After tomorrow (day 3) the nicotine will 100% be out of your system!!!
Day 30, today was a trying day.
Hang in there. Those trying days will get further and further apart as you move forward in your quit.

One day at a time, buddy. We just ask that you post your promise everyday, early, and keep your word for 24 hours. Forever isn’t promised, just today.
Day 102- sitting in the airport waiting on flight. I recall in my past life getting that last dip in before we boarded. Great feeling to be free as a bird from nicotine. I will not use tobacco for the next 24r hrs.
