Roll Call For Friday March 27th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallEven though we are called “KillTheCan” we realize that our true enemy is the drug itself: NICOTINE.  Nicotine is an incredibly addictive drug and because of that quitting dip may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system like the KillTheCan.org online forum to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. Our forums are the biggest and best quit dipping support system available today. And best of all, they’re FREE!

Roll call is the cornerstone of our activities at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued growth and success. Roll call is quite simply your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We quit one day at a time and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

  1. Great job DIP FREE IN NC!!!…..keep it up man, you WILL do it this time!….I’m still in that habit forming timeframe myself (Day 12), but NIC can forget it – he ain’t gettin’ me – not this time – I’m done with NIC for good! – I stand with you and everyone else on here – WIN the battle – STAY QUIT!!!

  2. Maybe I failed to see it mentioned but for all the newbies under 21 days, remember, the human body takes 3 weeks to form a habit, both good and bad. I quit dip 5 times already for long stretches of time (6 months to 2 years) and mistakenly thought I could have one and still be quit. This site has taught me that I’m an addict & can never use again, not even a single dip. I’m quit for good this time. Thanks all for the help, encouragement & information. Btw, I dipped for 30 years.

  3. Day 6 is soon to be behind me. First 3 days were brutal but now I feel like I’m in control. Slave no more for another day

  4. Day 61 of taking my life back and each and every day my wife tells me what a great
Job I’ve done and how proud she is of me that my friends and family is very
Special just like my new family
Here at KTC thank you all the just the same I stam with you all

  5. I tried going it without anything, getting candied & seeded out. Ordered the Hooch trial pack. My local smoke shop had Smoky Mountain WG, not too bad. But it doesn’t last long at all. Gonna try Triumph too, I figure I’d be spending this on Apple Skoal anyway, so gonna experiment & try different stuff. Will NEVER go back to regular dip, I’d disappoint myself @ this point if I did. Love the site. Great info and reading these daily blogs helps.

  6. Working no my 2nd month being tobacco free. Feeling pretty good.

  7. Day 83, Feeling good. Thank the Lord it’s Friday.

  8. Day 4. Still making it. A lot of different emotions I have been experiencing this go around. The #1 and the worst is anger. I have never been an angry guy, but I have been the madest of my life these last 4 days. Stay strong everyone

    • so true! i wondered if i had always been such a spaz. it calms a bit around 3 weeks for me, but that bite is still there 60 days quit. the stuff I read on this site helps put it in perspective.

    • Hang in there Adam. It may be a bumby ride. I experienced some weird shit for about 3 weeks. As KCroy stated, stay close to this site. Read the articles, check in on live chat. It helped put my mind at ease when I thought I was going knuckin futs. Be patient with yourself.

    • i hit a few days with strong craves and then a few days where i actually feel depressed more so than edgy. really weird. been a eye opening experience on how serious nic is, and to think we fed it to ourselves the majority of the 24 hr day.

      • Just crazy to think about, huh KCROY???…..like you said it’s an eye opening experience – thank God we opened our eyes!

  9. day 60 happy friday guys

  10. Day 110 – I will not use nicotine today. TGIF! Enjoy your vacation time Ken, hope you will get more this time with the family.

  11. Day 32. Good up the good work folks.

  12. Day 14 I will stay quit today

  13. Day 26.. Stay quit my friends!

  14. Day 86….stretches of several hours without even thinking about it these days.

  15. Day 114. Have a great weekend. Stay quit my friends.

  16. Day 5….the words I read daily are a great inspiration

  17. Day 9 – Great checkup from the dentist yesterday. I dodged a bullet. Sores are healing and no signs of any permanent damage to my mouth and gums. And they gave me free whitening strips as an encouragement to stay quit which I am going to do today. I quit today.

  18. Day 115. The reality of it all is I was up against a very strong opponent but I’m winning against the NIC BITCH. FOR SELF FAMILY AND FRIENDS. NIC FREE IN 15.

  19. Day 136: I’m heading out on my first nicotine free vacation! It is so nice not worrying about having enough tins with me, how I’ll be able to sneak a dip, and if the TSA will make me take out the tins in front of my family. Freedom. Stay strong everyone and please keep posting throug the weekend. The nic beast doesn’t take weekends off.
