Roll Call For Friday March 20th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallEven though we are called “KillTheCan” we realize that our true enemy is the drug itself: NICOTINE.  Nicotine is an incredibly addictive drug and because of that quitting dip may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system like the KillTheCan.org online forum to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. Our forums are the biggest and best quit dipping support system available today. And best of all, they’re FREE!

Roll call is the cornerstone of our activities at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued growth and success. Roll call is quite simply your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We quit one day at a time and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

To post roll, simply leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

    • Yo the man Matt, just don’t let the beer let your guard down. Have an easy substitute handy. Gum, jerky, fake stuff. Just don’t cave in.

    • Just make sure you don’t cave Matt! Use all the fake in the world and honor your promise. I quit with you today.

  8. Day 79, glad to be quit with you. Go Wolfpack!

  9. Day 107…wow…watching the games last night was really tough. I had major cravings all night long. Been a struggle the past couple of days. I think it is because this is the first time going through without dipping while watching the games. First time in a while I really thought about getting in my car and picking up a tin. I just keep telling myself…one day at a time. Stay quit my friends.

    • Don’t Don’t Don’t do it Peter. Don’t give in. We’ve come to far to let the NIC BITCH win. We will be the winners.

  10. Day 75, my bracket is already fucked

    • I almost always play. One heart one head. Can hardly tell which one is which. But my beautiful wife is leading our picks after day one. I hope she wins all the money.

  11. Day 19.. Just like Rob, for me the past 23 years watching March madness has involved Skoal well not this year.. I stay quit with you all.. Go KU and Shockers.

  12. Day 108. For years, I mean years, today, this week, was filled with basketball, beer, and Skoal. Still love that basketball and beer combo. Go NCAA TOURNY, for excitement and fun. Dammit, I’m doing it without Skoal. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.

  13. Yesterday I posted that I was on Day 2. Changing my mind on that. Yesterday was my first 24 hours. Today is the Second 24 and I will make today my priority. I quit today.

  14. Day 25. I promise to quit.

  15. Day 102. I have been travelling my ass off for the company and fighting being sick the last few weeks. Finally dawned on me that I hit 100 days a couple days ago. Sweet but just a small step. Been here before. I think I’ll be excited for the 1,000 although this is the longest I have gone without Nic. I have quit chew before but still smoked so I guess it is an accomplishment. First few weeks dragged by but now I sincerely don’t hardly ever think about it. Thank God Rob still posts everyday or else it would take me a while to figure out how long I have been without Nic. I am 6 days behind him. Rob and Ken have been the “steady Eddie’ posters and that is appreciated, I’m sure, by all members. Anyways, good luck all. God bless and stay strong.

    • Thanks for letting us know you’re still quit. I would still recommend posting daily. I stopped on my own about 16 years ago for 6 years. I started back up and didn’t quit until 129 days ago. While some people have success going alone I need the reminder that I’m an addict. I can’t have one, ever! I hope you keep posting.

  16. Day 129: stay strong and stay quit! Also, keep posting your promise on the weekend. Quiting and supporting isn’t a Monday through Friday activity.

  17. Day 5!….Hey NIC, bring it….you ain’t gettin’ me today!!!! – have a GREAT day everyone!! 🙂
