  1. Day 12. Few cravings today. Went for a nice hike which helped. Some thoughts of chewing but nothing major. Glad I was a bit less foggy today.

  2. Day 4 nic-free. Ready for the haze to lift.

  3. Day 4 here hasn’t been a bad day. I’m still nic free and doing better everyday. I’VE GOT THIS!! Congrats to all the other quitters on whatever day you’re on!

I quit cold turkey a week ago today. I miss dipping- in the shower, on the toilet, walking the dog- watching any television- at work – but most of all- I miss it most…driving!!! But i have been chewing the shit out of gum and sunflower seeds- the seeds help!

  5. Day 4, this day seems a lot easyer then the last 2 days but I’m not sure how much more fun I can chew. Any other suggestions?

  6. Day 4, chew free. rough morning plowing snow out of my driveway without a chew…. Made it!
From a over a can a day to nothing- feeling proud.
It’s so much easier quitting for yourself and not others. I’ve tried quitting for my family before- does not work.
One more day without- praying for another.

  7. Day 54: I still think about it every once in awhile now. I might try Hooch, but I’m more concerned about it setting me back. Stay strong everyone; we got this!

  8. Day 4. I am doing ok dealing with the cravings, but I still feel very foggy. Has anyone found any good ways to help with mental clarity? My job requires me to be very clear head and lucid.

    • I used the fake stuff, Smokey Mountain, for the first two weeks. It helped out a ton dealing with everything. I was a can and half almost two can a day dipper. The fog goes away you just have to stay focused on one thing at a time, and stay strong.

    • I drink very black coffee, dip sun flower seeds and chew the hell out of Trident cinnamon gum.

    • Push ups and running will clear your head…
Only thing that works for me.

    • Hey quitter. Congrats on the quit. You’ve got about 10-14 days of overall fogginess. The first 5-7 are the worst. Don’t let that be an excuse to drop the ball on your quit. It does heal and you will be fine. This is truly temporary, although it sucks for a little while. You can do it. Bronc – 296

    • Honestly I took a few days off from work. Besides that I got a lot of sleep, exercised, chewed gum and REALLY made sure my blood sugar was up. This meant having a lot of small snacks + meals throughout the day.

  9. Day 27 of no nicotine. To all the newer people talking about being in a fog and not sleeping well etc. just know that most of this will subside after a couple weeks which I know seems like an eternity away but will come.

  10. Day 39 I agree Rob, there where big games that I would chew a whole tin of Kodiak. That’s what really felt good about the other night I had a couple of cravings but enjoyed watching without. I will not lose this fight against tobacco,

  11. Day 29 or another day I may live, because I choose not to put nicotine into my body. It’s going to be a good day

  12. Day 33. It’s tough watching sports and not chewing. Still have urges but I will beatry down. NIC FREE IN 15. For self family and friends.
