  1. Day 11. A LOT of cravings today. Very tired, really felt like only way I’d feel better was with nicotine. I was in front of the guy at 7-11 thinking about asking for a vape pen (was never my thing but felt that I could better rationalize using it). I didn’t ask for it and instead bought a protein bar. Phew! Blood sugar got up and felt a little better, grateful for being nic free again today.

  2. Day 28- keep it up everyone, this is your year! Tobacco will kill you, are you ready to kill it before it destroys you?

  3. Day 53: like a numb nut I posted roll on a review. It does get easier as time goes on. It helps to hear the pain of the guys going through the first few days. I don’t want to go throught that again. Stay strong everyone.

  4. committed, blood pressure is pumped too hard… do or die 🙂

  5. Day 3. When do the mood swings ease up? I haven’t had any trouble sleeping. Got into the herbal snuff yesterday. I’m not sure about it yet. Most success so far! Great site

  6. Day 32. I will not give up this time. Love this site. Go Steelers. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.

  7. Day 4… Toughest crave I’ve had was this morning. Had to drive to grocery store and get milk, usually I’d be grateful for the chance to dip in the truck alone, but not today. Not today.

  8. Day 13.. Still getting terrible nights of sleep, dealing with the fog, and the dull headaches. But it will all be worth it when everything clears up. Love the encouragement this website brings. Stay strong.

    • Day 15 for for me with zero nicotine. Still don’t sleep well and anxiety is a pain. Hoping this will go away soon. Been dipping for about 25 years and do not want to do it again ever. If I had one pure of advice it would be to start in spring or summer when there is better weather and sunshine. Doing it in the winter with the overcast days as cold weather adds to the depression and cravings. But I will not give up. Semper Fi

  9. Day 26. Stay clean everyone.

  10. Day 9 still quit, getting easier but starting to get crazy triggers where I natuarraly just want a chew until I catch myself saying I quit!

  11. Hour 58 with no chew. Yesterday was horrible. Hopefully today will be better.

  12. Day 3- Things are getting better. Trying to keep my mind and body occupied.

  13. Worst part of it all is my entire life (like most) revolved around my favorite time for a chew. I’m 37, own a business, still play baseball, run marathons, coach my son, and am a big bow hunter. Going for a run in a bit….. My favorite part of running is my chew after. I’ll get through it…. Because I have too.
    Have a great all!

    • Me too Aaron…Love to dip after working out…just got to find something else to do after you run. I’m on day 31…I don’t have those crazy cravings anymore. More like I would like a dip and then it goes away. Even went into a Wawa yesterday and stared at the chewing tobacco thinking how great it would be to get a tin but then just walked away…

      • Great work on 31 days Peter- must be proud!
I’m on day 3 and feel successful already. I live in Wisconsin and I’m training for a half marathon in Phoenix at the end of February. I’m so curious how the nicotine out of my blood effects my VO2 for this race. I’ve chewed a can+ for 20 yrs and just needed to quit for good. I have 4 kids 10 and under that follow there Mom’s lead with hating Dad’s habit…. Thankful for there support right now, but very difficult with irritability.

  14. Day – 37 I ain’t had a dip in a year.

  15. Day 38, Hang in there Aaron, day 2-4 are by far the worst. Very few cravings and all is well here. On of the biggest things I don’t miss about dipping is mistaking the coke bottle your spitting in for the coke bottle your drinking out of. Would happen to me driving every now and then hated it when I did it.

  16. Day before the big 30 for this nic free guy. Tomorrow will be the 4th time in the 37 years I have made it without a pinch between the cheek and gums. Thanks for the web site chewy, and for the information. Like the hootch, and pother nic free dips. It works for some of us, and others maybe it might lead them back into the dark side. I used Kodiac for a spell at one time, and I know that it was the only bear I ever got to pinch.
Be strong for your own self, stay nic free today, give your body a chance to get on the good life track.

  17. Day 3- horrible night of sleep… Praying for another day Kodiak free.
