Kill The Can Roll CallRoll call is the center of what we do at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued success. Roll call is your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes dip, chew, snuff, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs or NRT (nicotine replacement therapy). Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

  6. Day 41 – I will not use nicotine today or ever again! Son actually did quit, and today I can tell. He slept most of the 14th and 15th and now he is rounding out the 72 hr nic bitch and not happy. trying to keep my patience and help him own his quit, although I can’t talk that easily yet with my mouth healing, I am here for him to help get him through the roughest time. Stay Strong and Positive Everyone!

    • Erik B. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but how did you know there was a spot in your mouth. I mean, did you feel it ? Just asking so I may know what to lookout for in my mouth. Again, I hope I’m not offending you.

      • Hi Cynthia, No offense at all! I went to my dentist and they used a tool called a VELscope (http://www.velscope.com/velscope-technology/overview/) and located a dark area. I had been going to my dentist faithfully for years, but they always used the visual inspection and feeling around your mouth for bumps. I went to this new dentist because of this oral screening procedure that can help detect things much earlier. The area didn’t hurt, wasn’t raised or anything, so I don’t think anyone would have noticed it without this tool. There is a myriad of things that it would be, so I am keeping positive that it is not cancerous or pre-cancerous. I asked him to get it all out rather than just take a piece in case it was malignant.
