  1. Day 35, Feeling Great!

  2. Day 32; I don’t believe that I’m as cranky as I was a few weeks ago, but that is my opinion and not my love ones’. I still itch for it now-and-again. I’ve been using either gum or grind pouches to curb the urge. Luckily I haven’t been around anyone that uses. That has been my downfall in the past.

  3. Day 3…doing pretty well so far. I feel the fog coming on though.

  4. 6 days here guys. Feels great. So happy for all of us!

  5. Day 5 Eric B here. Evenings seem to be worse that afternoons, sitting around on couch watching movie/sports and that triggers cravings, Trying to go to different rooms and occupy my time with laptop/games/puzzle and kids. My son Alex who is also trying to quit almost caved last night, but stayed strong and didn’t go to the store. It’s getting easier, but now the strange part is learning to re-wire myself to live without tobacco. Never had any of the tongue/cheek sores like others mentioned, maybe it’s still coming. Anyway I feel great, and determined more than ever to not go back to any form of nicotine ever again.

2 weeks today and feeling great!

  7. Day 24. My morning cravings are gone. Now its just every once in a while and they’re alot more manageable

  8. Day 3 no Nicotine. Hooch has been a blessing. For about 30 seconds you actually can feel like you have the real stuff in. Last night I did notice that I was snapping at my wife and daughter. Hopefully that doesn’t last too long. One time a few years ago I tried quitting and my wife told me to just start back up because I was being such an ass.

    • James, I know what you mean. Day 3 seemed to be the absolute worst for me personally. Then I woke up to Day 4 and it was like a big difference in attitude and the magnitude of cravings. You should read a couple of the articles on the site that talk about dealing with family and spouse. At the end of the day it’s our battle and we need to own it. Hang in there brotha, it will get easier I promise, you are almost there.

  9. Day 11. Still want that first chew in the morning. Controlling the urge to use in certain situations is still very difficult. Cloud seems to have lifted, but still get spacey and anxious.

    • Rob, I leave a pack of gum next to me in the mornings just to give some type of oral satisfaction in the morning. Sometime I will put the gum in between my cheek and gum and spit the saliva just for the sensation. I am starting to notice the anxious, almost energetic bursts that come over me from time to time as well. I find myself a bit OCD and starting to rearrange things in the kitchen or garage.

  10. Day 15, never thought I could do this a month ago. No doubt I will ne.ver dip again now. Thanks KTC.
