Roll Call For Thursday April 28th, 2016

KillTheCan FinancesWelcome to your freedom from tobacco! KillTheCan.org is dedicated to helping people quit smokeless and spit tobacco in all forms including dip, chew, SNUS and snuff. If you want to quit chewing or dipping we believe we can help. Quitting dip isn’t easy and we won’t suggest otherwise. In fact, it may be the most difficult thing you ever do. Adding a support system to your quit will greatly increase your chances of success. The best quit dipping support system available today is on our forums.

Roll call is our DAILY promise that we will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, dip, chew, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, your days quit and your quit group.

  6. Day 514. Congrats Dip Free in NC on 400. Rembrandt to cherish life every day, but please do it tobacco free. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 16.

  7. Day 1 – I have 28 years of alternating between smoking and dipping with the majority being dipping. I started to have some difficulty swallowing last night and couldn’t sleep because my mind was racing with worst case scenarios. I got out of bed and kissed my sleeping girls foreheads as they slept and told them I love them. Then I went and opened 4 cans of Skoal Extra Mint and flushed them.
I have a dentist appointment next Friday and an appointment with my doctor the following Monday. If this difficulty swallowing persists until my appointments it will only help my resolve to make this quit lifelong.
I am thankful for the worry I will go through over the next week and will use every bit of it for motivation to never dip or smoke again. If I am lucky enough to have a clean bill of health from my Dentist and Doctor I will already be over a week into quitting this horrendous habit and will carry the fear of not being there for my family to continue being tobacco free the rest of my life.
Best wishes to you all in taking control back and quitting forever.

  8. Day 58 I stay quit today. Good job to all who choose this path of freedom and healthy living.
