Last night in chat, they were talking about another brother who caved. Today’s ode was inspired from that. I’m not perfect, but dammit, my QUIT is….
Ode to Day 96
Another day free from dip I can claim.
It puts me and my boys closer to the Hall of Fame.
But one thing I’ve noticed, I must make this clear,
The HOF may come, but I’ll still face my fear.
I’m an addict, this fact we all must face,
To say we’ve arrived is to discredit this race.
If we are doing it right, no finish will we see,
Our success is day to day, THAT keeps us free.
I tried to count up the number I’ve seen cave,
It’ really burns my ass, and fills me with rage.
They whine, and they bitch, and some even cry.
But the question most asked from the old heads is “WHY”?
Why did they throw away all their hard work?
Why did they make their brother feel like a jerk.
I know we’re all human, I know we screw up,
Dammit your QUIT is your WORD suck it up, stay TOUGH!
Today’s ode was the truth, sorry it’s mood was not leaven,
I’ll throw Hooters in the mix for tomorrow’s DAY NINETY-SEVEN!!
PS: Today’s photo is the DVD cover from WWE’s SummerSlam 1996 which I happened to be in attendance for in Cleveland.
