Roll Call For Tuesday July 14th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallKillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit chewing tobacco. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t truly be free from your addiction. If you’re looking to quit smokeless, we can help. We will never tell you it’s easy. Quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best quit dipping support system available is the KillTheCan.org support forum.

The most important thing we do on the forums is Roll Call. It is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. And for that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”.  We quit for today and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  1. Day 7. The last few days I felt like I was in the clear, but today was really tough with the amount of cravings and headaches that came back. I will not go back to tobacco!

  2. Day 4 quit. 20 year tin per day habit. Love this site. I am going back. All jacked up right now but starting to feel a little relief. Going to bed sucks and anxiety in the morning.

Does anyone know how to buy the flip flops in the merchandise area? I think they are cool but it won’t let me buy them.

  3. I promise to quit.

  4. Day 9. When did you get your normal sleeping pattern back?

    • The first month was a struggle for me. A lot of different experiences during that time. Hang in there. Stay strong and be patient.

  5. Day 245: I actually used wet coffee grounds recently to fight a huge crave. I will never fall back to tobacco.

    • I can relate, I was in boot camp and chewed a bunch of sanka crystals from the MRE to stay awake for guard duty. yep it tasted really awful

  6. Day 225. A milestone? Every day is a milestone when you were addicted for 40 years. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.
