Roll Call For Thursday July 30th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallKillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit chewing tobacco. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t truly be free from your addiction. If you’re looking to quit smokeless, we can help. We will never tell you it’s easy. Quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best quit dipping support system available is the KillTheCan.org support forum.

The most important thing we do on the forums is Roll Call. It is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. And for that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”.  We quit for today and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  1. Thank you. I didn’t know there was a specific group with my month (July/15)

  2. I’m into my first few hours of quitting and, of course, feel ok. I’ve been slowly weening myself off for the past week or so by dipping snus instead of Kodiak but yesterday I got one final can, finished it, and instead of buying another I bought Golden Eagle herbal chew. I told myself on my 30th birthday that I would quit. I failed there. Last week I climbed a mountain and swore I’d quit if I made it. So now it’s time. I appreciate this website and the support that it provides. I’ll post tomorrow when quitting gets real serious.

  3. i lost some days here with my monkey math and there i am going back to a day behind john! 184.

nice job jgw getting a month under your belt. it is funny how a little social media like this site can help keep a quit going.

  4. Day 30 and going strong! Thanks for the support all…however, I would like to say I’ve never spoken to anyone? Read all HOF speeches and all the support they got from certain individuals being a big kick ass bunch…avoiding the Nic Bitch and all…The best support I’ve gotten is reading survival posts of people dealing with the worst case of nicotine use…cancer.

    • I highly recommend finding your month in the forum section and posting roll. You’ll find a bunch of supporters that are willing to swap digits and help you out. But you have to be proactive and support other quitters.

    • yep at the bare minimum hang out in there and read stuff. i could never get the hang of posting roll there so i like this blog. those forums are like a flashback to 2003 user groups lol!

  5. Day 3 of quitting. Trying again after years of lying about it.

  6. I promise to quit.

  7. Day 185 stay strong every one

  8. Day 241. Days are long, but time Flys. Still have Moring dahs. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.

  9. 25. Days. Trying to get my friends to quit.

  10. Day 261: I quit with you today. Happy belated birthday Rob! Keep kicking ass!

  11. I used the inner web away from this sight, where math formulas actually work. This is my current info

131 days can be converted to one of these units:
    11,318,400 seconds
    188,640 minutes
    3144 hours
    131 days
    18 weeks and 5 days

  12. The dip calculator no longer serves me. It lost my info. Nice fucking technology you got on this sight Chewie. I just know I quit in March and just had a weekend devoid of sobriety, common sense and sleep. Still I did not cave to the tasty treat. That weekend alone is worth like 10 normal days. Put that in your calculator.
