Roll Call For Friday June 26th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallKillTheCan.org is an organization dedicated to helping people quit smokeless tobacco. We believe with every fiber of our being that NICOTINE is our enemy. Until you are free from the drug that you are addicted to, you can’t really start down the road to freedom. If you’re looking to quit dipping, we can help. We will never tell you it’s easy. Quitting dip may very well be the most difficult thing you’ll ever do. Adding a support system to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. The best support system available today for someone looking to quit chewing is the KillTheCan.org support forum.

One of the main reasons for our growth and success is Roll Call. It is the most important thing we do. Roll Call is your DAILY promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. And for that day only. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We don’t worry about the quitting “forever”.  We quit for today and worry about tomorrow when we get there together.

Use this blog post to post your daily promise. Leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  1. Day 117… Staying quit

  2. I’m very hard on myself. I quit and want to quit. I’ve quit a dozen times . I made it a week and slipped and had a dip. I started over again and on day 2. It’s hard folks but I’m determined to try harder

  3. Just reading every few days helps me out. I live in redneck heaven in Florida and alot of my friends dip. Been spreading the word about the site and the alternative dips. I don’t preach because I didn’t like to get preached at. But getting someone to the site, seeing the roll, getting the quit vibe going is a big step. Alot of us are the same, dipped in high school, too stupid to know better, blah, blah. the time is now to quit, Thanks for the help quitters.

  4. Staying strong,,, everybody quits

  5. Haven’t been on here for a while and I’m still quit at 201 days now. I am glad to see Ken and Rob still posting and still quit and all the new names that are joining our brotherhood to quit nicotine for life. I have a new job and traveling a good bit and recently had a scare with Melanoma, which I am fortunately starting to heal finally. I know cancer runs in my family and that is one of the biggest reasons I needed to quit after 35 yrs of putting that shit in my mouth. I am continually telling my son to quit before 30 yrs gets behind him and he has oral issues and cant quit. I can walk in my sons room aanytime of day or night and pick up that can of cope but I will not let myself go there. I am now making him chew outside and any spitoons or cans I find inside get poured out and flushed. I am making it harder and less convenient for him in hopes that he will abandon following my footsteps.

    Stay strong everyone!

  6. Day 120, feeling good. Where u at Craig? You’re among quitters brah….

  7. Day 97, no matter how well or poorly you think you describe something, as addicts it all makes sense. There is no logic to putting a chemical in your body that ultimately will kill you & pays absolutely ZERO dividends.

  8. I promise to quit.

  9. 147 but that isn’t as important as the newer folks posting today. craig hoping you are on day 12.

posting roll does make a difference. i have no intention to chew, and if i cave it would have nothing to do with or without roll. but the act of counting the days and living in the present makes caving seem unnecessary at this point and puts us in control. don’t know if i described that right.

  10. Day 227: keep kicking butt everyone!

  11. Day 207. I still must post everyday, because I was addicted for 40 years. I quit with all of you today. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.
