Roll Call For Wednesday March 11th, 2015

Kill The Can Roll CallNicotine is an incredibly addictive drug. Even though we are called “KillTheCan” we realize that our true enemey is the drug itself: NICOTINE.  Quitting dip may be the most difficult thing you ever do in your life. Adding a support system such as the KillTheCan.org online forum to your quit can be the difference between success and failure. Our forums are the best (and biggest) quit dipping support system available today.

Roll call is the cornerstone of our activities at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued growth and success. Roll call at KTC is simple.  It is your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes all forms of smokeless tobacco, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes and nicotine replacement therapy. We quit for today.  We’ll worry about tomorrow when we get there.

Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

  1. Day 94 – Great to see so much activity on this site lately, lots of new guys following in the same footsteps we are following of thousands of people before us. We were all brought together by our addiction and our solidarity of our quit. I quit with each of you today!

  2. Day 98…I promise not to use today.

  3. Day 10… Nic free. Hang in there Matt and Brent.

  5. Day #4, its only the beginning, but it feels good to not let nicotine control me.

  6. day 16-what a day!

  7. day 44– any of you over 50 day guys experience strong craves even after a month?

    • They come and go, but you’re stronger at throwing them aside. I had some real strong ones last week, but nothing i couldn’t handle. Stay strong.

    • Yes…I still have them but as Ken noted much easier to deal with as time goes on.

    • Definitely. Your craves will come and go even well beyond the 100 day mark and even occasionally years into your quit. The good thing is time between craves will become further and further apart and they will become weaker and weaker as you move forward in your quit. I can honestly tell you that it’s been YEARS now since I’ve experienced anythign I’d consider a crave.
