Roll Call For Thursday January 15th, 2015

KillTheCan Roll CallRoll call is the center of what we do at KillTheCan.org and is the reason for our continued success. Roll call is your daily promise that you will not use nicotine in any form for that day. This includes dip, chew, snuff, SNUS, cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs or NRT (nicotine replacement therapy). Please use this blog post to post your daily promise.

To post roll, simply leave a comment below with your forum screen name, days quit and your quit group.

  1. good luck Eric, prayers for you bro. Day 11 chewing fake shit, slept a little better last night.

  2. Day 15….hardly thought about it today I was so busy.

  3. hey guys i made through the procedure. You guys have become like family and for that I am truly thankful. It totally sucked as you can imagine (Jim, they found a spot about the size of a dime on the roof of my mouth that needed to be biospied) All I can smell and taste is the burning from the cauterization and its nasty! Biopsy results in 3-5 days, staying positive!

    • Thanks for the updates and stay strong. We’re pulling for you.

    • Eric-
Praying for you and for what we all fear and why I’m here. 4 children under 10 need me more then I need chew. Day 15 for me and I won’t give in… I can’t. One day at a time!

Praying for you brother- hopefully it’s nothing.

  4. Day 40 …. cravings not so bad lately and actually starting to get back to the gym and lose some of the weight I gained during the initial quit. I have been in quite a funk and all I want to do is go back under the covers. Lot has to do with this weather, but also sitting in the back of my mind is uncertainty of my health So time to get this behind me and get some answers so I know that the future holds. I will be in surgery at 3:30pm EST. Again thanks for all the good vibes, prayers and well wishes from everyone in the group. I will certainly keep everyone posted. Son not doing too good with his quit, he told me his last dip was early yesterday morning, which was his quit date, but I’m not sure if he is ready to tell me the truth. Stay Strong and Stay QUIT everyone!!

  5. Day 59… Still get bad cravings for a dip but will never give in to nicotine again, stay strong every one!

  6. Day 41…I also had a dip dream last night. The funny thing was when I put it in I didn’t like the taste of it and spit it right out. I have some really great days when I don’t think to much about quitting and other days that are a real struggle.

  7. I did the same thing ken, finally got back to sleep around 3:00 A.M and had a dream I was dipping again. Thanked God when I woke up, I would not want to start from day one.

    • Guy: I think having the new quiters post about what they are going through helps keep my resolve. I do not want to go through that again. For those who are struggling through it, stay strong! It gets better.

  8. Day 11, pushing for another dip free day!

  9. Day 11, feel fine during the day. Still sleeping like shit.

  10. Day 12. This is my second “official” quit and is strangely much more difficult than the first. I think the reason is because during the first, I made it 45 days and then started back dipping. Going to work through this, no dipping today!

  11. Hawkfan 14 day 56 fff

  12. Day 65: I had the most vivid dip dream last night. Then I got really pissed at myself and knew I needed to go back to day 1. Glad it was just a dream. I’m proud to quit with all of you today! Thoughts are with you Eric B. Stay strong everyone…

  13. Day 15, Life is getting a lot better craves are few; today I will
Be nic free. Stay strong all.

  14. Day 50. Need to thank my family for all the support they have given me. Also want to thank chewie for keeping the blog open. Surprised how much posting roll has helped me through this process.

  15. Day 41, having sleeping troubles from knee replacement P.T. Working knee hard. Times like this I wish I had a dip of Cope. It’s about 1:30 MT. Time. I thought this through and realize I can’t punish my mouth and health, over a knee that’s just trying to heel. Loosing a few hours of sleep is a lot better than a few years of life.
I will stay Nicotine free today AMEN
    God bless you all

    • To all my brothers and sisters out there, stay strong. Day 44, and I’m going to kick this addicition. Tough but we’ll win. For self family and friends. NIC FREE IN 15.

    • You have come too far now Guy! One day ahead of me!! Keep resolve to your quit and go back and read all the other posts you made or a newbie posted out there during those first 10 days of the quit, you don’t want to go back to that! Hang in there, we are here for you!

    • Hang in there Guy, prayers and Hugs going your way.
