  1. First Post…Day 15…

  2. Day 12 – Overall doing pretty well. Mornings are still a bit of a challenge but the cravings vary from day to day. Today is good, yesterday I picked up 4 cans of Hooch at the store and the guy behind me asked if I had tried it before. I said I had not and that I was 11 days quit. He told me that he used it for 2 yrs on and off which peaked my interest. Interestingly after I made my purchase of Hooch I watched him buy a log of Cope.

So as he was leaving the store I talked to him out at the truck and turns out he went through the same quit program using this site and went 100 days and got into the HOF. Then he said he found himself starting to chew on cigars and started to rationalize with himself and said, if I am chewing cigars why don’t I just go get some Cope. I felt sorry for him as I watched him drive away, even though he had much nicer truck 🙂 I promise myself, you guys, my family, my friends, and my God I will NOT become that person. Keep it Strong!!

  3. Day 10…had a huge trigger today. I’m a fireman and this morning we had a house fire. I’ve always dipped at a fire. Almost bummed one, but stood strong.

  4. Day 4. skip the holiday party today because I didn’t want drink alcohol and put myself in a position to fall off the wagon. I will not use tobacco today

  5. You go Guy. Keep up that attitude.

  6. Day 13. Doing pretty good. Also yesterday was 8 weeks I lost my mom.

    • Hey Corey, sorry to hear about your loss. You are going through a lot from a mental standpoint. Your Mom is with you and keeping you strong through your quit.

  7. December 5th was my quit date. 13 days, wow, that build up to spit out the Copenhagen verses the fake product isn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. This makes things easier for me. My mind set is better this quit time as well. I tried back in February of 2014, but was not prepared for fishing the rivers without my friend Mr. Copenhagen. I will have a much better start this time and will see how things will work out. Ive learned having a well thought through plan, tends to make the turn out much better. My girlfriend gets a lot of credit for teaching that having a plan is very helpful, especially when the subject is as serious as Quiting chewing Tobacco. I planned for after meal, working and wake up chews. but not, while Fishing chews. Trial and error. Oh well. At least I still yearned for the desire to care for my gums, Teeth, Throat, and stomach. This is why I am at day 13 today.

I have decided I will not let chewing Tobacco take away my good health today.
    Guy

  8. Day 10. Doing great. Fog has been gone for a couple days now. Main cravings are after dinner. Have been doing a lot of seeds and fake snuff to keep myself occupied. Not to rub it in or sound bad but this time quitting has been a lot easier than previous attempts that failed. I credit the support from you all, the fake snuff, and the fact that I truly want to beat this horrible addiction.

  9. 3 weeks and counting!

  10. Day 38: my wife asked me if I wanted a nic gum coupon that came in the mail yesterday. I told her I was good. She doesn’t know I’ve quit for good.

  11. Day 18. Urges desire still there but I will win. Won’t give up. I will beat this for self, family and friends. I shall beat this evil demon.

    • Keep up the good work Rob. You got this.

    • I saw your post yesterday saying you quit 12 years ago but fell back into it. My history is similar. I quit for 6 years and then let myself fall back into it. I’ve been attempting to quit for the past year and a half. Looking back on my failures I can see I was depending on nic gum and any chance I could bum a dip from someone I would open the doors for buying tins again.

  12. Day 22, read some statements from Tony Gywnn yesterday and it sort of hit home. Don’t want to end up like that. I will not lose.
